A labyrinth presents an opportunity to clear your mind in a structured, activated way. My grandfather is a nature and meditation lover. I was lucky enough to spend a couple of weeks building this project with him. I started by surveying his land and finding a suitable location. The spot chosen is fairly flat, at the heart of the space, and has a beautiful existing semi-circle of aspens and spruces. I designed a four circuit labyrinth to fit within the semi-circle, with an axis that points north south. I harvested the stones from the creek along his property and built out the design in a few days.
