In collaboration with Boulder’s Creekside Elementary School, I designed a green school yard that is educational, ecological, and fun. Interaction with teachers, students, and parents informed us of the users needs. Based on these needs, the design provides opportunities for nature play, outdoor classrooms, food growing space, performative space, and moments to take risks. The design was used by the school board in grant applications for future improvements.
